The Dufferin Arts Council is 20 years young this year!
In our 20 years we have provided over 80 significant scholarships which currently average about $1,000 each to Dufferin County high school students going on to higher education careers in the arts. We have hired dozens and dozens of local artists to conduct hundreds of Art Days in all the primary schools in our county. For 20 years, we have provided courses and workshops for artists and the public. We have conducted excursions to concerts, plays and festivals. Through our wonderful members we have provided large and appreciative audiences for the very talented array of artists and arts personalities who reside in our community. We did it all and much more for 20 magnificent years - and we loved doing it.
We have a lot to celebrate – and so we will!
Come out and join with your fellow DAC members on Sunday afternoon, October 21, 2-5 pm to celebrate the past 20 years and kick off the start of the next 20!
The cost is $50 per person which includes food, music, entertainment and a dreams auction.
We have reserved a lovely location at the Hockley Valley Resort with access to what we hope will be a glorious fall afternoon with the trees in full autumn colour. However, we only have room for 150 members (and their guests), so please reserve early. October 21 in the afternoon will be the best event of the fall season in the Hills.
