April 06 - Getting to Great Colour with Peter John Reid

If you’re happy to paint with the muddy pool of slop mixed on your palette and continue to hide your efforts in the closet or paint over them again, and again, this workshop is NOT for you. If you don’t have a sense of humour and don’t like to have fun while pursuing your passion, definitely don’t register for this workshop. Peter John Reid will teach you how to mix the colours you really want on your canvas.

An encouraging mentor, Peter loves to share his passion for painting. Before you can mix a colour you have to be able to see it, and the workshop will give you the practical ability to mix any colour and make colour the strongest part of your painting. Great colour makes the painting, it isn’t an accident. The goal is to get to paintings to be proud of.

You’ll learn through watching demonstrations, examining samples, personal painting time, critiques and humour. This class is taught with acrylics but the colour lessons apply to all media, and for the absolute beginner toadvanced painter.

Cost: OAG members: $50 Nonmembers: $70 Non-members may join the OAG at the
workshop.

The workshop will take place at Victoria ParksCommunity Centre, Mono Mills. April 6, 10am - 4pm
