September 22 & 29 - Memoir Editing Workshop

Are Your Memoirs Unmemorable?

(or do they just need an edit?)

Over two half-days I will show you how to self-edit your memoirs and make your life come alive long after you are gone.

You will learn:

* how to avoid common mistakes in grammar, punctuation, and sentence structure
* the importance of clarity, tone, and point-of-view
* the difference between active and passive voice
* proper use of dialogue
* the art of subtlety, and
* how to birth a new metaphor and bury the dead one – murder those clichés!
